ABOUT JACLYN STUART
Jaclyn Stuart graduated with a BA HONs Fine Art from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, year 2000 and has been creating artwork ever since. Her artwork explores the human experience considering the Divine. "I love to explore images from life, nature or found objects and use these in an out of context way. By taking the image out of its normal context, it helps me to create metaphors and explore themes like, the beauty and fragility of life, brokenness, repair, loss, and restoration."
Jaclyn Stuart Art classes
Jaclyn ran an art teaching business in Aberdeen before moving to Fife where she lectured in art and design at Elmwood college and Adam Smith college. Upon Elmwood college closing the art department, She decided to use her knowledge and skills to set up her own business. "I want to teach the fundamentals of art to all ages and I noticed a gap in peoples learning. Elements such as perspective, measuring, observation, tonal work and colour theory are the basis of my classes."
Eden Art was created to help people of all ages learn the craftmanship of art and develop their own expression. Classes were set up in St Andrews for adults and children so that they can learn these techniques and at the same time find their artistic voice and express it with confidence. Eden art for a time developed into a small arts and craft hub which offered dressmaking and other craft based courses. A number of different tutors ran these courses. Jaclyn is now the sole tutor, with over 20 years experience teaching in Scotland and abroad, offering a wide variety of fine art classes for adults and children.
