Tired but Happy – A Golden Thread of Art, Travel & Creativity

What a whirlwind! I'm feeling absolutely shattered but truly happy after a non-stop weekend celebrating my exhibition, “Our Golden Thread.” A huge thank you to all you lovely people who came along to support me – your presence and encouragement meant the world.
For those who couldn’t attend in person, don’t worry – you can now experience the exhibition online! I’ve uploaded a full video walkthrough, so you can enjoy the work from wherever you are.

My artist’s talk went better than I expected. I was nervous, but managed to speak steadily, and the feedback was really encouraging. I also gave a live cyanotype demonstration – for those unfamiliar, cyanotype is a historical photographic process that uses sunlight to create stunning blue-toned images. It’s a wonderfully tactile and experimental method that always produces something unique.

You can now purchase the recording of my talk and cyanotype demo online, either individually or as a bundle. Also available in my online shop is my brand new exhibition catalogue, along with a set of gift cards featuring the signature painting from Our Golden Thread.

Just before the exhibition, I squeezed in a work/family trip to Spain, where I helped stretch a massive canvas for Raf and Kate at their hacienda near Seville. The artwork had been flown over from the Canary Islands and was by the late artist Carlos Morón. It was huge – you’ll see in the photos! – and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my husband and his expert hammering skills.

Next stop: Puglia, where I’ll be teaching a week-long art course with Flavours Holidays. After that, I’m determined to take a bit of well-earned rest – although, knowing me, I’ll end up starting a new project if I’m not careful!
Some exciting news for local supporters: my St Andrews art card range has proved so popular that I’ve added several new designs. These include St Salvator’s, a new painting of the Dutch Village at Craigtoun Park, and another of West Sands. They’ll be available very soon, and I’ll keep you posted.

You can now find my work stocked at Falkland Stables and at Craigtoun Park, with more venues hopefully coming soon.
Thanks again for being part of this creative adventure. There’s plenty more to come – so watch this space!
With love
Jaclyn
